The Client:

“Culture and Arts Project NOASS” is one of the oldest non-government arts and culture organizations in Latvia. NOASS supports the realization of contemporary arts projects in urban environments, making art a part of the daily lives of residents of Riga and visitors to the city.

The International Contemporary and Video Art Festival “Waterpieces” organised by “NOASS” is one of the key annual events for moving image and digital arts culture in Latvia. It celebrates the intersection of film and music, and brings a wide spectrum of the best local and international animation, video and installation art to its audience.

The Mission:

Create a memorable visual campaign for Waterpieces 2014 which represents the year’s festival theme – Changing Urban Cityscapes. The challenge was to invite guests to rediscover cosmopolitan context as an organic and heterogeneous entity which has a mind of its own and the power to change and reshape the patterns of our daily reality.
