Hello, I am Zanna Olestsik, a UX/UI designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Originally from Tallinn, Estonia I moved overseas to Edinburgh in 2011 to study Creative Advertising, it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the country and the people so I made Edinburgh my home.
In my current role, I work in a scrum team on redesigning a complex web platform with multiple user roles for a global learning and development company. I love creating intuitive user journeys and aesthetic web interfaces. I put strategy and research first, and love to get down to the nitty-gritty of the service/product/user needs to find optimal solutions.
I strongly believe in a user-centred approach and love being a part of a team: working with researchers and product owners in order to find a middle ground between business and user needs and ensure the product is not only profitable but also usable, accessible, and pleasant to interact with.
Outside of work I am up to something 24/7, whether it is studying psychology, sketching, or dancing on aerial silks.
I am always on the lookout for new exciting projects. So if you like what I do and you think my skills can add value to your idea/product – please get in touch.
My CV is available on request.
